The Big Game Steps Challenge, presented by bEHR Health, is off to a strong start as participants aim to complete 59,000 steps in one week for a chance to win two tickets to Super Bowl 59. The challenge, which began on Monday, January 20, was originally scheduled to end on January 26 but has been extended to January 29 due to a winter storm expected to impact New Orleans this week.

Day one saw participants braving chilly conditions but not yet the severe weather. CEO Kwame Terra shared updates from outside his home, praising the community’s enthusiasm and determination. "It’s cold out there, but people are showing up and putting in the work. The numbers we’re seeing are incredible," he said. Watch full recap on YouTube or Instagram.

Day One Highlights

The first day delivered impressive results, with the top 10 participants all logging over 20,000 steps. Leading the pack was Williams, who clocked an astonishing 60,136 steps—more than the total needed to qualify for the grand prize. Williams is the first official qualifier and has set the bar high for the rest of the challengers.

The leaderboard is competitive, but there’s still plenty of time for newcomers to join and make their mark. With the challenge extended to January 29, everyone has a fair shot at completing the steps and qualifying for the Super Bowl ticket drawing.

How to Join

It’s not too late to get involved! Registration remains open, and participants have until January 29 to hit the 59,000-step goal. Whether you’re starting now or catching up, every step brings you closer to better health and a shot at the ultimate football experience.
